New 2018!

Reflexive Performance Reset Wake Up Drills

Reflexive Performance Reset (RPR) is a simple combination of breathing and acupressure that treats imbalances in the muscular and nervous systems.  When muscles work together in sequence while fully activated, the body moves correctly.  Athletic movements are sequenced chain-reactions.  Weak links in the chain and improper sequencing lead to injuries. When the same compensation patterns are reinforced, injuries linger and recur.

RPR is proactive; it helps evaluate an athlete’s current physical state and then implements breathing and acupressure before injuries occur.  Several staff members of the NASTIE program have acquired level 1 certification in RPR.

Core Strength Vinyasa with Zen Pow's Steph Helmers

This cutting-edge yoga practice gives you twice the benefits for the time you spend on the mat. Because you move continuously from deep center, you’ll burn more calories (yes–it’s cardio!), spark your fat-melting metabolism and transform your whole body from the inside out

This type of yoga Core Poses, specific movements, postures and sequences that bring the student into more core-generated alignment, improving safety and stability while causing a more efficient total body/mind transformation.

Practicing these principals and poses will simplify how to access, comprehend and use the “core” most efficiently to gain the maximum yoga benefits (calorie burn, strength, flexibility, focus, self-awareness, confidence…) in the least amount of time.

This will be offered once per week…make sure to check the weekly schedule!

Fitness Dance!

Have you done Zumba with Mrs. Nyseth?

She can take the “work” out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party.  Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you’ll see why Zumba® Fitness is often called exercise in disguise.

A total workout, combining all elements of fitness – cardio, muscle conditioning, balance and flexibility, boosted energy and a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class.

This will be offered once per week…make sure to check the daily schedule!

HS / Recent Grad Sessions Start Times Every 30 Min

We are trying to better use everyone’s time and allow multiple ways for kids and families to get their workouts in.  These new start times will allow our staff to specialize and pay closer attention to detail, while in turn keep students moving through different stages (and areas) of their workout.  We are hoping this improves the quality of the experience!

In coming 4th Graders can register!

We experimented with a few younger age groups last year to see which ages would most benefit from our workouts.  We are allowing incoming 4th graders to register this year!

No Adult Sesssion

This was a tough decision, but 0ur programming is extensive and expanding.  This idea of continual improvement and evolution keeps us on our toes and the families of our leaders are growing.  This program was started to benefit the kids in our schools and we decided we could put more energy into that by moving on from the adult session.  There are awesome adult based programs right in our community.  We encourage you to continue your path in fitness and wish you the best of luck!
